Andrea Nield

Andrea Nield's passion for the creative industry started from a young age, thanks to the support of her family. Although her investment into the arts did not start until secondary school, where she would come to create her character designs. From that point, she would focus her skills on taking Fine Art, Graphics and Photography primary school institution.

 

Passing her exams, Andrea attends a Foundation year at UCA (University for the Creative Arts), where Andrea currently studies an Illustration and Animation course. Furthering her exploration in her creative process.

Andrea Nield's inspiration comes from the animated shows and movies she watched whiles growing up in England and Thailand. Falling in love with the art of 2D animation and the educational teachings found in the series and movies she watched. 

​

Due to this inspiration, the work Andrea has created so far explores these aspects. She has created child-friendly character designs and animations that express playful emotions. Exploring topics of debate like personal choices, female representation, family and the actions of the mundane. 

 

Currently, Andrea is exploring the topic of sexuality in education and finding a new method to present the complex topics to the current generation.
